This committee handles the day-to-day management of the network:

  • specifically control and implementation of the RNSA Network Agreement;

  • formulation of policies and strategies;

  • research coordination;

  • overseeing membership, program planning, financial oversight and preparation of the annual report.

  • identify means to strengthen and grow the network;

  • source external funds;

  • establish and maintain a database of funding resources to support network activities, plan the future sustainment of the RNSA; and

  • promote ARC funding opportunities for research activities relevant to the goals of the network.

The committee will establish an 'entry and exit policy', and a 'responsibility statement for all members' (in accordance with the RNSA Network Agreement) to ascertain the following:

  • agreement to participate actively (i.e. attending network activities, involvement in committee work);

  • provision of member profiles (including current field of study, grants, collaborators, staff and students in group, research capabilities/ techniques);

  • protect the network from liability;

  • engage in a free exchange of information within the network, and work on the basis of trust and goodwill; and

  • ensure intellectual property agreements are in place (where necessary) between collaborating members for activities supported by the network.

Proposed initial membership is the Convenor, research hub coordinators, a nominated representative of the young investigators and the Administrator (for secretarial support), and any other persons the committee may choose to invite to assist them.

The committee will also administer the Subsidy Scheme for Young Investigators.
